2010
- January Zassi partners up with Tucson, Arizona based Research Corporation Technologies (RCT) to pursue the continued development of Zassi's Continent Ostomy System, a novel electrical stimulation technology for the gastrointestinal continence control market. This new company, Leto Medical, LLC will develop this innovative electrical stimulation technology and mating family of proprietary, single use disposables that together will restore continence control to individuals with colostomies. These individuals will be freed from the burden of having to wear an Ostomy pouch which is a market comprised of $1.5 billion in annual product sales.
2008
- September Zassi launches e-Zassi.com which offers subscription-based InnoVision™ software that enables medical device focused organizations to more rapidly screen and select the most synergistic and commercially-viable medical device technologies. It is simple to use, more cost effective than traditional methods and protects all parties from confidentiality risks delivering immediate competitive advantages.
2006
- October Florida Sens. King and Pruitt invited Zassi CEO Peter von Dyck to speak at the 21 st Century Economic Summit meetings in Florida to discuss his ideas related to the enhancement of Florida's knowledge-based economy.
- September Zassi sells the Zassi Bowel Management System to global healthcare company Hollister Inc. after achieving 100 percent revenue growth for three consecutive years.
- January Retired Ethicon Vice President Andrew D. Stewart joins Zassi's board of directors.
- Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry magazine names Zassi one of its 50 Companies to Watch.
2005
- January-December Zassi awarded multiple purchasing contracts on the Zassi Bowel Management System by numerous group-purchasing organizations.
2004
- Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry magazine recognizes Peter von Dyck as one of the 100 Most Notable People currently making a material difference in the global medical device industry.
- July Zassi establishes distribution network throughout Europe and Japan.
- April Zassi Bowel Management System wins the prestigious Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry's Gold Medical Design Excellence Award.
2003
- September Zassi Bowel Management System receives CE Mark Certificate from British Standards Institution to market Zassi Bowel Management System in Europe.
- August Zassi wins Governor's Business Diversification Award for Entrepreneurship.
- March Zassi Bowel Management System becomes Zassi's first product to reach the U.S. market.
2002
- July Zassi receives ISO 9001, EN 46001 and ISO 13485 registration for design and manufacturing of GI medical devices.
- May Zassi Bowel Management System awarded market clearance from the FDA.
- March 1 st U.S. patent awarded on the Continent Ostomy Port (COP).
2001
- July Zassi partners with leading Asian surgeon/inventor to develop the Zassi Bowel Management System to market
- January University of Virginia's John S. Minasi, MD, FACS, joins Zassi management team
