Welcome to Zassi Medical Evolutions…Where Breakthrough Ideas hatch!
Zassi Medical Evolutions is a privately held company based on Amelia Island in Northeast Florida. Our multi-disciplinary team of product development, manufacturing, and commercialization specialists is dedicated to innovating and fostering breakthrough medical device technologies that improve the quality of patient care around the world. Whether innovated internally by the Zassi team or externally by an outside partner, Zassi matures and increases the value of these technologies via our strategic product and business development processes. Upon maturation, we structure lucrative partnerships or asset sales to larger strategic or financial organizations to ensure these innovations reach patients around the world, and to maximize the Return on Invention (ROI) for our company, shareholders and partners.
To date, the Zassi team has successfully innovated, matured and monetized two groundbreaking medical device technologies.
The first is the Zassi Continent Ostomy Port ™ System (COP), a unique indwelling catheter system specifically designed to restore continence to individuals who have undergone ostomy surgery due to colorectal cancer, trauma or inflammatory bowel diseases. This novel intellectual property estate was non-exclusively licensed to a Fortune 100 company.
The second is the Zassi® Bowel Management System (BMS), the world’s first indwelling catheter system specifically designed to divert and contain the bacteria-laden gastrointestinal waste of non-ambulatory patients (such as those in Intensive Care Units) and in so doing help reduce the incidence of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) and the incidence of wound formation and contamination attributed to the failure to contain fecal waste. Following three years of successful commercialization in over 20 countries around the globe, Zassi sold the BMS assets to a leading medical device firm in 2006.
The Zassi team is continuously innovating and developing breakthrough, patient-centric medical device technologies to improve patient care worldwide and to maximize Return on Invention (ROI). Contact us today and let us know how we can partner with you to maximize your ROI. |
